This is a cartoon Dachshund. Most cartoons of Dachshunds

are made extra long, but Dachshunds aren't really that long.

 

The Dachshunds' nickname is Weiner Dog or Hot Dog.

 

Long ago Dachshunds were bred for hunting and killing

Badgers. To get to them they had to burrow under

ground. That is why most Dachshunds now like to hide

under objects.

 

Most people think Dachshunds are small and wimpy,

but really Dachshunds are very strong.
