Aircraft Carriers

An aircraft carrier is a ship designed to deploy and recover aircraft , acting as a seagoing airbase. they can help a navy project air power great distances without on local bases for staging aircraft operations. World War II was the first large scale use of the aircraft carriers. they lack the firepower of other warships, so they are very vulnerable tto attack. They travel as part of a carrier battle group for their protection.
